Panda Kayaks was formed in 2014 by Tom Butt, having been paddling for 5 years and competing in various disciplines of canoeing including sprint, marathon, slalom and canoe polo. Inspired to try the sport after taking a break from cycling whilst doing A-levels and applying for university, I became hooked. The agenda behind setting up a business was simple; to bring the scientific training and structure from my cycling background into the canoe and kayak world. The thinking behind it is simple, supply the highest quality equipment at the right price. Teaming up with my father who has had national and international experience, on and off for the past 20 years we expanded our small range and now include coaching as an option along with the development of new products being brought to market. I have a number years of experience working with both wood and composite materials. I also have access to one of the most trusted members of the kayaking community maintaining and manufacturing a range of boats and associated equipment, we work closely with him to make sure the highest quality runs throughout all our product range.
